We kept meeting the same person

The fraud victim who had already been told their money was gone. Block Pulse Global exists because that answer was very often wrong.

New York, USA — 40 staff, nine jurisdictions

Block Pulse Global was founded in 2015 by a small group of former law enforcement investigators and forensic accountants. We had each spent years watching the same failure repeat: a victim reports a fraud, the institution handles what falls inside its own transaction window, and then the trail stops at a border or an account the bank has no reach into.

The victim is told their money is gone. Frequently, it is not — it is simply somewhere the first institution had no authority to follow it.

We started with eleven cases in our first year, and recovered on nine of them. That ratio has held broadly since, and it holds because of the qualifier rather than in spite of it: we assess every enquiry honestly and decline the ones we do not believe are recoverable.

“We started with eleven cases in our first year. We recovered on nine of them.”

Our mission

To give victims of financial fraud the expertise, the reach, and the persistence that financial institutions and criminal networks have always had on their side.

Our commitment

We take cases on merit, not on volume. If we do not believe your funds are recoverable, we will tell you that at the assessment — before you have committed to anything, and before any work has begun.

Where we operate

Headquartered in New York, we pursue recoveries across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific through vetted legal and financial partners in each jurisdiction.

Founded in New York by four former investigators and forensic accountants. Eleven cases in the first year; nine recovered.

  2. 2017

Cross-border work becomes the majority of the caseload rather than the exception.

  3. 2019

Cyber investigations practice established, adding on-chain tracing and exchange cooperation to the existing banking routes.

  4. 2021

Retained counsel network extends into Asia-Pacific, adding a third regulatory environment to the compliance framework.

  5. 2023

Cumulative recoveries pass $50 million. Retained counsel network reaches nine jurisdictions.

  6. Today

Around 40 staff, and a published decline rate for the cases we assess but do not take.

How we work

Five commitments we can be held to

01

We tell you the truth about your case

The first thing we do is assess whether recovery is realistic. Some cases are not worth pursuing, and we say so before anything begins.
02

We answer for the outcome

If a case fails, we tell you why in writing and hand over everything the investigation produced. The findings remain yours whether or not anything was recovered.
03

We communicate on a schedule, not on request

You receive a written update at fixed intervals whether or not there is news, so you are never left wondering where things stand.
04

We treat you as a client, not a case number

Fraud victims are frequently re-victimised by the recovery industry. We will not be part of that.
05

We refuse business we cannot deliver

If your matter belongs with a regulator, a police force, or a different specialist, we will refer you there instead of taking it on.

Our network

Recovery rarely happens inside one country

Our reach comes from long-standing relationships, not from a directory.

Legal counsel network

Retained firms across nine jurisdictions, brought in only where a case actually needs them.

Financial institution liaison

Escalation contacts within major banks and payment processors for freezing requests and recall procedures.

Blockchain analytics

Licensed chain-analysis tooling and exchange cooperation channels for tracing cryptocurrency movements.

Law enforcement liaison

Working relationships with national fraud reporting centres, used to support — never replace — your own formal reports.
In the press

Media enquiries

Our managing director has spoken publicly about firms that charge victims upfront and deliver nothing, and why we support tighter regulation of the sector. Our cyber team has contributed analysis on wallet-draining attacks and the practical limits of chain tracing.

Journalists may contact the press desk directly. We respond to media requests within one business day.

Ask us the difficult question

Including whether your case is worth pursuing at all. That conversation is free, and you are under no obligation at the end of it.

Or read our legal resources first — your rights and the complaint routes are set out there.
