Tell us what happened

The more you can tell us now, the more useful the first call will be — but send it with gaps if you need to.

Dates and amounts help most. You do not need to have everything ready to send this.

No obligation at any stage. We answer within one business day, and the same day if you tell us the matter is urgent.

What happens

How the call goes

  1. You describe what happened

In your own words. There is no form to fill in on the call and no wrong way to explain it. Most people apologise at this point for not having the details straight — you do not need to have them straight.

  2. We ask the questions that decide the case

How the money was sent, when, to whom, and what you have already reported. These four things determine which recovery routes are open to you far more than the amount does.

  3. We tell you what we think

Including when we think the case is not recoverable. That answer saves you time, and we give it in the first call rather than after a formal assessment.

  4. You get it in writing

A written assessment follows within a week: what we found, what the routes are, what each one involves in time and risk, and what we recommend.

You do not need
  • A police report — helpful, but we can work without one, and we will tell you how to file it
  • Every document to hand — a partial record still gives us something to trace
  • The exact amount — an estimate is enough for the first call
  • A decision about whether to proceed — nothing is committed by talking to us

If your case is urgent

Business email compromise, an in-progress cryptocurrency transfer, or anything that happened in the last 48 hours should not wait for the form. Call, or say so in the subject line and we will pick it up the same day.

The things people worry about

Four hesitations we hear on almost every first call, answered directly.

Will I be judged for having fallen for it?
No, and this is the one we hear most. These operations are professional, rehearsed, and target intelligent people specifically because intelligent people make the transfers look legitimate to a bank's monitoring. Being defrauded is not evidence of stupidity. It is evidence that you were targeted by someone good at it.
Is this going to commit me to anything?
No. Nothing is agreed on the call, nothing is signed, and nothing follows unless you ask for it to. The written assessment we send afterwards is yours to keep and to take elsewhere if you would rather.
Will you try to talk me into engaging you?
No. On a reasonable share of calls we tell the person their case is not recoverable and that is the end of it. We would rather decline a case than take one we cannot deliver — our reputation is built on the cases we accept, not the ones we sign.
I already tried another firm and it went nowhere.
That is common, and it does not disqualify you. Bring whatever the previous firm produced — even a failed attempt leaves a record, and their fund flow work is often the starting point for ours rather than something to redo.
My case is embarrassing and I have told nobody.
You will not be asked to repeat it more than once, and you will not be passed between people. Your case has a named lead from the first call to the final accounting, and everything you say is covered by the confidentiality terms in the engagement agreement — or by nothing at all, if you decide not to engage us.
